This site focuses on my current teaching and related topics. I have been teaching for over twenty years and am the Director of Learning and Curriculum at an independent school in Melbourne, Australia and teach a senior Literature class there.
My most regularly updated content is my teaching and learning blog on Wordpress. I also have a blog focused on English teaching using technology.
I co-author a book for senior English called The Issues Book as well as part of the Nelson English Manual. I'm currently working on an iPad only senior English text book, which is pretty interesting.
I'm also the author of three books of poetry and have a poetry web site that focuses on that aspect of my writing, and an ongoing poetry blog. I've been blogging there since 2001!, which was pretty much when I discovered the concept of blogging.
The 'Simpsons Me' portrait doesn't look much like me except I tend wear black shoes, have reading glasses and hang around rooms with boards to write on (not that I use them. I'm usually projecting OneNote on to the screen via the data projector), but the blackboard is nice and retro somehow. You'll notice it's empty!
